6/2 = 3

that’s why the answer is always three. any number minus the same number equals zero. any number plus zero is the same number.

this is just a less fancy version of that “add the current year to this number etc” thing.

it’s a lot less impressive if you write out the equation. which, given the rules of cancellation in basic operations, is always 6/2 = 3.
