My wife, Danielle Powell, was kicked out of Grace University because she is gay. As if that’s not bad enough, now the school is forcing her to pay back her scholarship money, because they say she wasn’t “moral” enough to deserve that scholarship.

so much rain today.

I never have been (and probably never will be) the person who disappears into their relationship. and I’m thankful for that. I don’t ever want to make everyone who matters (or mattered) to me feel like they are all overshadowed by one person. no matter how relevant that one person is.

I’ve always known that it’s not what I want. some other people think the same applies to them, but it doesn’t really.

the thing is, when you disappear into one aspect of your life, all the other aspects disappear to you. and there’s no guarantee that they’re going to be on standby the moment you decide that you want them again.

I have an impressive talent of maintaining coldness toward a specific person for months or even years. I don’t forget when someone hurts my feelings. and I never forget the last thing I felt toward a person when I was with them (or interacted with them).

I find that it helps not to think about it. but I don’t know if that’s what also makes it worse when I have no choice. fucking social networking.

I hate this feeling, that I used to be important and I’m not anymore. it’s the same thing I went through with that one guy. I never would’ve thought it’d revisit me care of a friend. but there you have it.

at least I do have people in my life who are there for me. a lot of them, in fact, despite quite some physical distance. I will always be thankful for that.
